The group’s first declaration of intent came with 2014’s self-financed, self-released EP, The Crow Flies, a calling card largely intended to secure local gigs. But it was the release, in January 2016, of debut album All In Time which truly amplified the word-of-mouth buzz around the band from a whisper to a scream. With Kerrang! Radio and Planet Rock picking up on storming opening track ‘Not Your Enemy’, the anthemic ‘Let Me Go’ and ‘Stay All Night’, plus the bruised and beautiful ‘Wait For You’, an ever-expanding audience was alerted to the fact that here was an emerging British outfit with the riffs, the choruses and songwriting smarts to make its mark on the global stage.
In early 2017, following a lengthy European tour, the musicians entered Long Wave Recording Studios in Cardiff to work once again with All In Time producer Romesh Dodangoda (Motörhead, Bring Me The Horizon,Twin Atlantic) on their second album. The result, the 11 track Ain’t Always Easy, is compelling proof that the Walsall quartet are ready to stand toe-to-toe with the biggest names on the contemporary hard rock scene.
Loaded with state-of-the-art arena-friendly anthems, Ain’t Always Easy is one of the most assured British rock albums of recent times. From stirring opener and first single ‘Worth Fighting For’ through to the blissful ‘The Only Thing I Need’, this is an absorbing, deeply heartfelt collection which marries important issues, both personal and pressing, to instantly accessible, granite-hard hard rock. One might trace a path from ‘Other Side Of Me’ through ‘Doesn’t Matter’ and on to ‘I Believe’ to see an unfolding triptych tracing Moss’ journey from bedroom dreamer through to rock-star-in-waiting, the frustrations of working nine to five poured into punchy, inspirational lyrics yearning for a shot at the big stages.
One life. One band. One vision. For Stone Broken, the time is now.
SATURDAY MAIN SUPPORT, IT'S Aaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics!!!
In 2015, having toured the globe for four years fronting Heaven’s Basement [Red Bull Records], Aaron Buchanan walked out of one band and immediately into a studio just out of London with producer James Curtis-Thomas, guitarist Ryan Woods and sister & guitarist Laurie Buchanan. In the years prior, Curtis-Thomas and Buchanan had spoken many times about producing a record with deep, mature, and colourful content; just a few months later and a stint for Buchanan in Australia where many of the vocals were tracked in a shed just outside Brisbane, the now critically acclaimed and award winning record “The Man With Stars On His Knees” was born out of a tiny studio just outside London with no hot water or central heating. A true testament to the belief in the music and vision Buchanan had bought to the table.

Style and substance with a passion for performance’. If nothing else these words roar out what The Fallen State is all about.
The Fallen State was raised in the Autumn of 2013... when five young men with a mutual love for powerful, anthemic and beautifully executed rock, found themselves in a room together. For these guys togetherness isn't just a dream but a reality… they have that extra, indescribable ‘musical magic’ tattooed across their songs… the artistic ink of five individuals harmonised into something greater than the parts.
They have been touring relentlessly across the UK, Ireland and continental Europe with acts such as Halestorm, 3 Doors Down, Tremonti, southern rockers Black Stone Cherry and most recently Pop Evil... they live for the live show, with their stylish take on the musical legacy of both sides of the Atlantic. Also a fan of the summer sun, they have also featured at festivals such as Download and Ramblin’ Man.
Over the last five years The Fallen State have written five well received EPs showcasing a developing and broad modern rock sound. These included the heart-pulling video single of Nova in 2017 which received widespread air and TV play...
... 2019 brings the release of their debut album ‘A Deadset Endeavour’ forged from the artistry and experience developed through half a decade of songwriting over multiple releases. There has been no rushing to push an album out… they wanted to get it right and they have!
Wherever you are right now, The Fallen State is rising… and this year we’ll be delivering our hi-octane, groove-ridden, rock n' roll triumph to a venue near you. We will see you on the road!
