PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS features MOTÖRHEAD guitarist Phil Campbell alongside his sons Todd, Dane and Tyla, plus vocalist Neil Starr.
The birth of PHIL CAMPBELL AND THE BASTARD SONS was at the legendary Wacken Festival in Germany, August 2016. Since then, the band have released a self-titled EP, played many headline shows and festivals around Europe and have completed 2 separate tours with SAXON throughout November/December 2016 and GUNS N’ ROSES in June 2017 where the band performed in front of hundreds of thousands of fans in some of the largest stadiums in Europe!
The band are currently putting the finishing touches to their second album, and if the first one is anything to go by, it will sound huge.
Look out, hold tight, Black Spiders are back in town!
Black Spiders, those trusted and true Sons of the North are back.
After waving ‘Tarra’ (with a side order of ‘F**k You’) to an army of loyal fans at some sonically charged final shows (step forward London’s HouseOfVans and Sheffield’s Corporation) the band eventually got the itch for some more loud love in the summer of 2019.
Talks began, a possible return chewed over, loosely planned and enthusiastically embraced…and then slightly scuppered as the world became a very different place.
The lockdown chips were down! But the creative juices flowed like a pre-pandemic pint at a very hot venue. Sonically epic, core rattling rock was the business of the day…and as it turns out business is good.
Swapping files and ideas across the UK, and the Seven Seas (do you follow Tomo on the instas?) and eventually getting some socially distanced studio time, the tracks are now in place.
“Lockdown was actually a pretty productive time for us, so much energy and positivity. We couldn’t stop writing; it was great to have that inspiration, and that connection again. At the same time it was a whole new way of working.Usually we would get into the rehearsal room and blast through things, but we had to change and it has given us a lot clarity and more time to demo up the songs from a distance and have new perspective. Same with the studio, as we still haven’t actually played the songs together, in a room, old skool.” Pete ‘spider’ Spiby
“We were blown away with the love we were shown at our final shows, but we needed a break. We’ve now had some time to think about what truly mattered to us, as a band. Along with any band worth its salt we’re now chomping at the bit to get out and play. Much love to all of our brothers and sisters in the world of music, as well as our amazing fans, we really hope to see you all soon. ” – Black Spiders.
It must be remembered that this band have done it all, including highlights: Headlining the Olympic stadium in Beijing!...Coaxing 40,000 people away from watching Biffy, when they headlined the outdoor Jagermeister stage at Sonisphere!...Chosen by Ozzy himself from 500 bands to support at his iTunes show!
The new, as yet untitled album will follow 2011s Sons of the North and 2013s This Savage Land. Both lauded, championed, carried shoulder high (usually to the bar) by some of the finest publications in rock n’ roll.
Yes, that's right, Blackwater Conspiracy will be joining us at Heretic Fest on Sunday 2nd May 2021.
Ask anyone Irish and they’ll tell you music is in their blood, and so it is with Blackwater Conspiracy from County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Their debut album “Shootin’ The Breeze” was released June 2017 in the UK to wholesale critical acclaim. Festival slots at Download, Steelhouse and Ramblin’ Man Fair (2017 & 2019) and also high octane tours supporting Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown, Kris Barras, Joanne Shaw Taylor, along with three headline UK club tours cemented their reputation on the live scene. Blackwater Conspiracy’s debut appearance at Ramblin’ Man Fair was even featured in “10 Of The Greatest Ramblin’ Man Sets So Far”, on the festivals official website.
Early 2020 saw the release of the bands second album “Two Tails & The Dirty Truth Of Love & Revolution”, an album that further went to highlight their musical diversity and unique approach to song craft. Upon it’s release, “Two Tails…” debuted at #3 on the Official UK Rock & Metal Album Chart and #2 on the Official UK Independent Album Breakers Chart. Blackwater Conspiracy continue to go from strength to strength, spreading their heady musical cocktail for more to discover.
The story of the band is the story of 5 guys from Northern Ireland who have played music all their lives. Having crossed paths frequently over the years they came together as Blackwater Conspiracy in the Summer of 2015, formed from the ashes of two of the country’s most popular local bands, Million Dollar Reload and Swanee River.
Their intention from the outset was no more following of trends, no more conforming to what was expected – they are 5 individuals wanting to fully express themselves whilst playing in a band. Sounds simple, but consider a classically trained pianist taking inspiration from Jon Lord and Jerry Lee Lewis, a bass player influenced by Iron Maiden and Thin Lizzy, a drummer driven by everyone from Buddy Rich to Danny Carey and two guitar players oozing The Stones, The Faces and The Black Crowes – you’re going to create a pretty unique musical melting pot.
Songwriters Phil Conalane and Brian Mallon take a refreshingly free-form approach to their songs, thus allowing all this individual expression to take place. The result is a breathtaking panorama of material – from rich bluesy slide guitar rock to achingly delicate confessional country; from galloping radio friendly rock ‘n’ roll to late night dark corner whiskey blues. The band play with a confidence and effortless ease, the arrangements are epic and it’s all woven together with one of the most naturally expressive classic rock voices in the world today.
Like the River Blackwater, the geographical link that ties each member together, and from where they take their name, there is an unstoppable flow, a natural power and order of things present here – this is the essence of Blackwater Conspiracy.
These Hi-Octane Rock n Roll trashcan troubadors from the wrong side of town deliver a punishing no frills approach and delivery with bone crunching guitars and gritty no nonsense vocals, yet are never short of whole hearted melodies and hook lines to die for!!! As fresh and arousing as anything out there - don't be confused - this aint rockabilly, its pure snot nosed rebellious Rock n Roll with its middle finger pointing firmly in the air - Lemmy would approve!!

Liberty Lies are a four piece Rock band from a small town called Wednesbury in the Black Country, West Midlands, England.
The story of Liberty Lies dates them back to their high school days, before Facebook, YouTube & Spotify. Brought up on a strict regime of their parents favorite Classic Rock bands, but inspired by brand new music that they found along the way.
Bands like Thin Lizzy, The Eagles, Biffy Clyro, Queens of the Stone Age and Coheed & Cambria helped them become the band that they are today.
Over the years the band have self managed themselves into notching up support slots with the likes of: Shinedown, Halestorm, SOiL, Magnum, Rival Sons, Inglorious, Skillet & many, many more.
Whilst maintaining a constant presence on the road, Liberty Lies has managed to release a healthy back catalogue of material, spanning their growth as a band as they’ve matured with the years.

Forming in March 2019 the band has gone from strength to strength winning over crowds across the UK with a hard hitting raw blues rock sound.
Although only forming in March 202 don’t be fooled, Yesterdays Gone have a wealth of experience and between the 5 member of the band Rob Walker (Vocals), Josh Walker (Guitar), Danny Vernon (Guitar), George Sharpe (Bass), Stan Tomkinson (Drums), we have shared the stage with the likes of John “Rhino” Edwards from Status Quo and Rhino’s Revenge, Saxon (Official), The Dead Daisies, The Quire boys, Ryders Creed, These Wicked Rivers, Theia UK, The howling Tides, Dead Mans Whisky, Black Water Conspiracy, to name but a few!
The band have gelled really well in the short time that we have been together and the music that is being produced takes influence from both Classic Rock, Blues, Metal, Stoner, and many other weird and wonderful influences, if you can imagine Zep had a love child with Clutch, Audioslave and White Snake you may be on the right track.
